it seems like these two Pure Storm devotees have switched in the offseason. I wonder which sizes/weights they're using... can't see the string patterns very clearly on TennisTV right now. I'm curious to see whether people can 'tame the cobra' with these snakey racquets in high pressure play. Tsonga, Jerzy Janowicz, Benjamin Becker all tried it and quit it. I don't quite belong in that group, but I gave it four months of serious trial and decided that even my evenly balanced and very heavy...

Keep chopping and changing between the Babolat PDT,Redondo MP and this Yonex frame.

I get most spin and control with the Redondo MP but the lowest power.

With the Babolat my forehand is consistent with good power but for some reason I struggle for power on the backhand. And it feels hollow and a bit like I'm using a toy!

With the RD-7 strung with Cyclone I get the most power by far especially on my two handed backhand.

I get good spin too on the backhand with a moderate trajectory....

yesterday a guy came to have his fischer pro extreme strung and he said he got it from dominik hrbaty, i just smiled politely but inside i was telling myself "yeah i'll string it after rafa's babolat". when he left i had a closer look at the racquet and i noticed this was a strange pro extreme. i've already have an idea but i'll let everyone make their own. what you can't see on the pics:it's relatively heavy, headlight, lower swingweight, no signs of FT technology on the frame....

What on earth is Nike thinking with the day-glo clown outfits??? All of the Nike guys so far (6:40pm, Monday) look horrendous. The neon yellow socks are bad enough, but the clown-puke vapors make it extra super silly. I think all of the guys not named Rafa or Roger are getting screwed by Nike this US Open...

Fernando Verdasco and Tecnifibre

so back in 2011 when Verdasco was using Dunlop paintjobs, he actually had a tecnifibre racquet under the paint. Currently he's using the paintjob of the Head Graphene xt Prestige Rev pro, but I wonder if he is using a tecnifibre under the paint as well. He could also be using the head tgt312.1 which is the pro stock version of the rev pro but I really doubt he uses 93 square inches. Marin Cilic has the same paintjob but he's got a different racquet, maybe Verdasco uses the tgk231.3 like...
