Braided Graphite

I see the new line of Wilson Pro Staff's are composed of only braided graphite and looks like they removed Kevlar and BLX/Basalt fibers. Can anyone tell me what the differences between those 3 materials and what does removing the Kevlar/BLX achieve in this new line of PS?

Is it a good or bad move, should they have kept Kevlar/Basalt?
Hope TW Staff chimes in.

It seems verdasco is hitting with a new racquet during his off season training in quatar.
It definitely looks like the new xt prestige, which surprises me because verdasco has never used cap grommets before, maybe he's using the new xt prestige rev pro. Any ideas?

Every now and then you see one of your favorite kicks. And you.and instantly remember how amazing they where. Some things you don't appreciate until it's gone..please nike make us a batch of these. Like Nole and his B7"s man must've had them stashed in the closets. Faulty air bubbles and all. We all moved well in these. Purpose of this thread is I'm jealous. [IMG]

Nadal Racket (not Aero Pure?)

So I have noticed that Nadal and many of the pro's are playing with a different version of the Pure Aero Babolat racket. Has anyone else noticed this? I think they want us to think that these pro's are playing with the Pure Aero that they are selling. However, there are some differences you can notice if you look closely. I think Nadal is playing with the old Aero Pro Drive with a new paintjob. However, I have noticed most of the pros are not playing the store bought...

Steve Johnson: yet another PJ'd Aerostorm

Steve Johnson just broke back against Nishikori, is serving bombs to keep alive. Has a kinda similar super-western-heavy-wrist forehand to Sock, another pro still rocking the same frames
.
Can people help me fill out a list of pros still using the Aerostorm? I see them all the time, but am blanking on most of them.

Jack Sock
Victor Troiki
(Sam Groth?),
Dinara Safina ;)

... I know there's more, just can't remember. I know it's pointless to bemoan discontinued lines that were poor...

Good evening,

Does anyone know approximate inform or exactly what steps the Gael Monfils racquet ?

Racquet: Wilson Blade 98 18x20 (2015)
Headsize: 98
Weight: (strung?)
Balance: (Cm?)
Swingweight: (?)

I'm waiting for someone has this information because it is very hard to find the Monfils racquet specifications.

Has the Blade 98 dethroned the Pure Drive among male pros?

I think it's getting very close at least. I haven't seen a racquet model challenging Babolat in a long time, but these green and black Blades are freaking everywhere. And they're even more prevalent among juniors.

On the women side I think Pure Drives are still dominating, though there's lots of Wilson Burn (paintjobs or not) racquets out there too.

Nicolas Mahut's racquet

I've searched on many other threads, and there does not seem to be a definitive answer.

He's been using a PS90 a long time ago. Then, some say he was using PS 6.0 95 (I couldn't check it, so I'll leave this to people knowing it for sure).

Right now, I can't tell.

To be fairly honest, the mold looks like a PS97 without the PWS. Of course, I know he was using this racquet even before the RF97 and co were designed.

It also looks like a H22. It's kind of thick. I'm no expert but it looks...

Maybe I'm over analyzing a bit but it seems sad to me that the number one for the most part of the last few years, Isner, is now sponsored by Fila and Prince. For the most part those two companies are somewhat irrelevant at this point. Our current number one, Steve Johnson, is sponsored by Asics and Babolat. I really can't think of the last time I saw Asics in a pro shop and his Babolat doesn't even have the most recent PJ on it.

Pouille's shot at the title is significant if he can pull through against Rafa. Prince hasn't had a Men's slam winner since....
